Why don't you try to make an ebuild for Axis' cris-dist-glibc ?

Now I'm trying to actually get a normal program to compile with the toolchain just made. And to answer your question, to get the axis compilation to work is trivial, what is not trivial is to compile things with an old GCC ;)
