Elphel Software Kit for Ubuntu
is a complete howto for installing software for working/developing with Elphel cameras.
MPlayer
is used to view the video live stream from the camera.
VLC
can also be used to view the live video stream from the camera but work well only up to FullHD resolution. VLC can also be used to record/reencide/restream the camera.
Note: Since v_1.0.1 VLC is also able to show and record the video stream up to full sensor resolution.
Gstreamer
Gstreamer is very suited to live video and audio processing, notably for live decoding/encoding, audio muxing.
