Why don't you try to make an ebuild for Axis' cris-dist-glibc ?

I have created a crossdev crisv32-axis-linux-uclibc. Glibc was broken on another point in the middle of compilation. Now I'm trying to actually get a normal program to compile with the toolchain just made. And to answer your question, to get the axis compilation to work is trivial, what is not trivial is to compile things with an old GCC ;)
