My project ideas: Overview
My name is Micheal Green and I am a student film maker. While I have many ideas for apertus, my main goal is to improve the cameras ability to be used on a larger scale such as documentaries, music videos, and even feature lenght or short films. Apertus requires external devices such as a laptop or a netbook. To me this is a limiting feature for a film maker on a tight time schedule. Wasted time can be wasted money. If the camera were instead to have an integrated computer to process and store data time could be saved.
The proposed features:
- add an integrated "computer" into the camera to eliminate external laptop
- add wireless video capibilites for wireless video monitoring
- on board linux distro (most likely ubuntu based)
- software customizations for a touch screen
