Elphel, Inc. license policy

When companies rely on free and open source software (FOSS) solutions — it simplifies building transparent and fair business relations too. Elphel Inc. makes one step further — we extend the free licenses to the hardware we develop.

All our products come with the complete source files — not only for the applications and drivers, but the reconfigurable image processors and converters as well. That sort of code (what they call IP — “intellectual property”) is most heavily protected by many of the conventional hardware vendors.

In this section of Elphel Network Cameras Manual you can read the text of free licenses under which are distributed the software, documentation and other work products of the Elphel Developers Team.
